~About Mrs. Foster~

Mrs. Foster is a teacher liaison with the XSTREAM program after school and this year is her 11th year working as the school counselor at Longfellow.  Mrs. Foster came to Muncie in 1999 to attend Ball State, where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.  Mrs. Foster is married to her husband, James, and they have five children: Devon, Jaylen, Jackson, Isaiah, and Isabella.  She also has one grandson, Julian.  Mrs. Foster loves working with the students, families, and staff at Longfellow Elementary School.  She believes that it truly takes a village to raise a child, and she is truly blessed to be a part of Longfellow’s village.

~About Mr. Foster~

My name is James Foster, Jr. and I am a 6th grade science teacher at Northside Middle School.  I was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana, but am now a proud member of the Muncie Community with my wife, Leslie and children.  I am the proud father of five children, who have all been a part of the MCS family.  I have been a certified educator now for many years and every year has presented new challenges, but accompanying those challenges there have been new learning opportunities as well.  I am honored and humbled to be a part of the XSTREAM afterschool program, and I truly love interacting with all of Muncie Community Schools’ students; the future of our city.
