First Grade Staff

~About Mrs. Isom~

Tyanna Isom is a follower of Christ, wife, mother of 3, in which 2 are former MP3 students, and wife of a former MP3 staff member. Ty is a long-time veteran of the MP3 Program. At anytime you could stop through the Lion's hallways and hear her roaring and marching with her class. With more than 12 years into the program, Tyanna brings a consistency and committed attitude that younger or newer staff quickly latch onto and onto and adopt for themselves. She is passionate about not only teaching children but especially making an impact in MP3 students lives. She is so grateful to have worked with the kiddos over all of the years that she has been able to!

~About Miss Wolford

Hi, my name is Emily Wolford and this is my second year teaching in Muncie Community Schools. I’m so excited to join the MP3 team this year! I graduated from Ball State University in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in African American Studies. I concentrated in mathematics, but phonics and reading are my favorite subjects to teach now! I love reading books to my students and in my free time after school. I also really enjoy painting and being creative. I also really enjoy being active and outdoors!

Hi! My name is Claudia Upchurch. I am a co-teacher with MP3 1st grade.  During the day, I work as an Instructional Aide at Longfellow Elementary and I absolutely love it! I believe fully in every child being given the opportunity, tools, and skills to reach their fullest potential. It’s my pleasure to take part in that process working with all my amazing kiddos!
